Joshua james (jj) foster

JJ Foster is the Senior Director of Operations at Protective Life. In this role he oversees a group of analysts who support daily operations and and various technologies. The group also provides detailed reports and recommendations through insights to operational teams based on their analysis. JJ also has direct responsibility for the Workforce Management team supporting all Operational Call Centers as well as support for an Technology team providing support for enterprise applications and a tactical team that supports peak volumes across the organization.

Prior to joining Protective JJ was an Operations Manager at Spire, a natural gas distribution company, in Birmingham, Alabama. He is a graduate of the University of North Alabama with a bachelor's degree in Professional Geography and a minor in Computer Information Systems. JJ also has a Masters in Organizational Leadership at the University of Alabama. He held leadership roles in the Engineering, Information Technology, Sales and Field Operations Departments over a 13 year career at Spire.

Prior to working at Spire JJ spent time working as the GIS Coordinator at the Northwest Alabama Council of Local Governments (NACOLG) in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. In this role he led a team of GIS professionals as well as serving on a number of state and local government committees.

JJ is married to his wife of twelve years, Candis Foster, and the two live in Trussville, Alabama. They have a seven year old son, Jacob.
